Hello Fans,
This past week has been such a rush for me, starting off with being able to rejoin my teammates in Los Angeles. Monday and Tuesday I worked out on the field doing sprinting and agility work, but the most exciting part was taking batting practice on the field. Wednesday, I hit in the cage, ran the bases and spent some time in the outfield.
All season I've been waiting to be healthy enough to be back here at SBC. Thursday was that day for me. I took live batting practice off of Kevin Correia and played out some simulated game situations. I felt very comfortable in the batter's box as well as running the bases. This was a big test for me -- to see how my leg would respond to all the hard work I was putting it through.
Today is my first off day after five consecutive days of baseball related activities. After each day's workout, I've been on the phone with Dr. Yocum discussing my progress and what the next day's steps will be. I am extremely pleased with my condition and I have only one thing to say to my fans after speaking with Dr. Yocum and the Giants today ... I'm BACK and I'll see you on Monday when I take the field with my team.
Later,
Barry Bonds
