June 1, 2005 Hello Fans, In this update I wanted to share a few more pictures with you. On Sunday, May 29th, I met with Dr. Armstrong and the Giants doctors for a routine check-up on my knee. The check-up was encouraging and showed that my knee is progressing and recovery is moving in the right direction. My range of motion has increased from last week, and after meeting with the doctors, I did my normal rehabilitation workout with the team trainers. Since Sunday's check-up was favorable, we agreed to do a little more manual rehab on Monday. As you can see from the photo, I'm doing some walking with resistance. I walked all the way to the top of the ballpark and took the elevator down a few times. It was so nice to actually get outside. After that, we headed back inside to finish off the rest of my workout. Tuesday the 31st was another good day for me. Since my range of motion had increased, we took the rehab up a notch and I walked two laps around the field. After that, I put on my glove and went out in left field and played some catch. The last time I played catch was during Spring Training, so being out in the field again was great. I think the most exciting thing is that the swelling has gone down in my knee and the doctors have reduced my antibiotics dosage. This is encouraging, although there's still more tests to go. I will be having another MRI, X-Ray and blood test done soon. If these come back normal, it looks like my rehabilitation will continue to gradually increase over the next few weeks. May Fan Sweepstakes Winners I met with Johnny Arenas before the Wednesday, May 25th, game against the Dodgers and Carl Harrison on Sunday, May 29th, before the Padres game. Take a look at the pictures of all the winners. The Sweepstakes was a success and I hope to do more events like this for my fans as the season goes on. Until next week, Barry Bonds
