Dear Fans,

I made it to the ball park a few times this week and had a great time hanging with the guys in the clubhouse. I'm still on antibiotics and a lot of my recovery requires rest, staying off my knee, and a few range of motion exercises, therefore allowing me to only be at the ballpark for short periods of time. The road to recuperation is steady but I am taking it slow under the direction of Dr. Ting and the team's medical staff. The team is on the road this weekend in Houston, so I'll be following on TV.

Tuesday was a special day. For about an hour I interviewed one of the greatest baseball players ever, my godfather, Willie Mays. I asked him questions about his career and about me as a child. I wanted to capture Willie telling me these stories first hand so I will be able to share them with my children and grandchildren. Willie has such great memories and his stories are so colorful. Hearing about the history of the game and stories of when he and my dad played together were awesome. This is something I've been wanting to do for a long time and I only wish that I had done it with my father before he passed away.

So many of you are sending in movie suggestions for me to look at since I'm at home staying off my knee. From all the suggestions, I decided on Star Wars Episodes I and II, so now I'm ready for III once it comes out next week.

On the business side, I just approved a new card from TOPPS called the Turkey Red series coming out in July/August. I'm really excited about nice products like this, from my licensees, that are for the fans.
