Dear Fans,
Today was our first day of workouts in Spring Training and it was really great to see all the guys, especially some of my old friends and teammates like Richie Aurilia and Russ Ortiz. Im pretty excited about the new additions to our team this year.
I worked extremely hard this winter with Harvey and Sweets and felt great coming into today's workout. I will continue my training regimen with them here in Arizona and throughout the season. I definitely feel stronger and healthier than I did this time last year, particularly in my legs. Over the next few weeks I'm looking forward to getting back into the routine.
After the workout I spoke to the media for a few minutes in the dugout. Since you all rarely get to see or hear the Q & As from start to finish, I've decided to post it on my site. (audio of interview) This way you can make your own judgment about what is said and not solely off of what is written and often taken out of context.
Last weekend my wife and I went to Las Vegas for the NBA All-Star Game. It was a lot of fun to hang out with our friends, watch some great events, as well as get in a little relaxing before the start of baseball. I'd like to thank the Maloof family for their hospitality and also congratulate them on a successful weekend hosting the All Stars at the Palms Hotel. This was my first NBA All-Star Game and it was an awesome experience.
Talk to you later
